JBS’s Commitment to the Sustainability of the Amazon
To promote the sustainable development of the Amazon biome, fostering conservation and sustainable use of the forest, improving the quality of life of the population living there and the development of a portfolio of quality sustainable products for the world.
The Program
The Together for the Amazon Program is a set of initiatives aimed at the conservation and development of the biome, aligned with the Company’s intention of feeding the world in an increasingly sustainable manner:

The JBS Green Platform: A blockchain structure that will enable the Company to include on its monitoring base the suppliers of its own cattle suppliers, by 2025.
Sharing the intelligence from the Monitoring System:: JBS will share its supplier monitoring technology with competitors, producers, other suppliers of farming inputs and financial institutions wishing to embrace socioenvironmental criteria.
Support and Inclusion of Suppliers: JBS will launch campaigns of engagement with livestock farmers and entities, in addition to providing legal, environmental and livestock husbandry advisory services to assist producers, while also expanding educational actions in sustainability.
The JBS Fund for the Amazon will be dedicated to financing initiatives and projects for the sustainable development of the Amazon biome. JBS will contribute R$ 250 million in the first five years, will invite its stakeholders to contribute to the fund, and has agreed to match third-party contributions. The total funding target is R$ 1 billion by 2030.
