Governance and Transparency
The governance structure of the JBS Fund for the Amazon was designed to address and guarantee the fostering of initiatives and projects intended for the biome, and to ensure transparency in all relationships.
The Fund will be headed up by Joanita Maestri Karoleski, former CEO of Seara, with a Sustainability Director, Operations and Control Team, in addition to the support of a Board of Directors, a Fiscal Council, a Consultative Council and a Technical Committee.
All actions audited by KPMG, and the results will be published.

He has 15 years of experience in sustainable rural development projects and served as Superintendent of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock Farming and Supply for the State of Minas Gerais.

Responsible for defining strategies and policies that address the objectives of the Fundo and the needs of the Amazon Biome.
