Theory of Change

After a period of learning, the organization began a new phase, dedicated to Strategic Planning, concluded in December 2022 after a broad consultation within different spectrums of the ecosystem in which it operates.

Scheduled to run until 2030, the planning developed a Theory of Change (TM) for a clearer understanding of the impacts that the Fund wants to achieve.

Two main focus areas were listed: restoration of open and degraded areas and investment in impact businesses that generate value for the standing forest.

To achieve these results, we defined three main areas of action: Production Chains in Open Areas (converted areas), Bioeconomy and Science and Technology.

This new model leverages and enhances the productivity of converted areas with the restoration of degraded areas, strengthens the business ecosystem generated around the standing forest and, in a transversal and structuring way, supports disruptive technologies capable of generating added value and improving the infrastructure of remote regions investing in connectivity, mobility and renewable energy.

The Fund considers that the supported projects must have the following principles: conservation or increase of biodiversity, recovery of the biome, encouragement of the reduction of poverty and territorial inequality and respect for scientific and traditional knowledge.
